For decades the Wanigan has been used by traditional canoeists to carry dry goods and equipment on wilderness canoe trips. Today's Wanigan is every bit as useful in the home as in a canoe. The Wanigan can be used as side tables, picnic baskets, blanket chests, or kindling containers. The Waningan is made from canadian cedar with steam-bent ribs and planks attached with real brass canoe tacks. The cedar solid top is held in place by two wooden latches. Rope handles make for easy carrying, even with heavy loads. A Wanigan makes a beautiful gift, and will prove a wonderful accessory in any home.
